On November 25-26, 2021, an international conference on “Strengthening national and international partnership for cooperation in the fight against trafficking in persons” was held in the city of Bukhara. The event was by organized by the" Istitkbolli Avlod " RSIC together with UNODC with the support of the U.S. State Department's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) The main objective of the conference
is to increase the capacity to identify victims and investigate crimes related to trafficking in persons by strengthening the partnership of law enforcement agencies and civil society. Successful practices in the field of combating trafficking in persons were presented at the event.
The conference was aimed at coordinating the actions of organizations and structures to strengthen the identification and prosecution of trafficking in persons crimes. The conference was attended by government agencies of Uzbekistan, heads of International organizations in Uzbekistan, heads of NGOs of Uzbekistan, representatives of the Prosecutor General's Office of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, as well as representatives of NGOs of the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
